A long long time ago, about 10 years, I made handmade purses out of upholstery fabrics. I'm pretty sure I went through 5 sewing machines in two years. Then I invested in an upholstery machine, and well... trends changed. Funny how that happens! Gone are the days of beaded fringe and luxury high end fabrics. Thank goodness, minky and chenille are softer and easier to sew, and more pleasing to the eye, than this:
